Bunnock is a fun game that can be played by two to eight players or more.

Two rows of 20 bones are set up about 33 feet apart with one guard at either end 16" apart as shown in photo. The object of the game is to first knock down the guards (Black Bones) then the inside soldiers (White Bones), before the other team. Each player throwing two bones each with the first team to throw to be decided by a coin toss
A bone toss game ( using the ankle bone of a horse) that can be played by people of any age and ability, and is fun for the whole family. The game involves two parallel rows of twenty two Bunnock bones set up ten metres apart. Teams of one to four competitors take turns throwing two Bunnock bones each, back and forth at their competitors row of Bunnock. They attempt to knock down the two outer guards (black bones), then the twenty soldiers (white bones). The team to knock down all their competitors Bunnock bones with the least amount of throws wins the game. The game is for every level of fitness and desire, and can be enjoyed by young and old alike. It is great for camping, picnics, family gatherings, bar-b-ques, weddings, company events ect.

BUNNOCK CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010!

The 5th Annual International Indoor Bunnock Championships. It is again taking place at West Edmonton Mall, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, The largest shopping centre in the world, ( Click on link for WEM website http://www.wem.ca/ )on February 19-21, 2010.

Make a winter holiday out of the event and spend the weekend in the mall enjoying one of the many restaurants, stores, attractions, casino, etc.
Games to begin Friday night for some local teamsSkills Competition Friday Feb 19, 2010 5:30pm to 9:00pm

Registration 5:30pm to 9:00pm Friday, Feb 19, 2010 and 7:30am to 9:00am Saturday, Feb 20, 2010.

You must register with your full team either day, as wristbands will be attached by IBA officials at that time, No wristband, no entry into the facility to play, no exceptions!

Games begin at 9:00am Saturday, Feb 20, 2010

Please indicate on the entry form if your team is available to play on Friday as we will begin the tournament with a few games with teams that are able to play that night. The rest of the teams will begin play Saturday at 9:00am

Back again this year will be a chance for someone from the draw to toss Bunnock to win a car sponsored by Denny Andrews Ford. Let€™s hope someone will win it this year!

A reminder that you are only allowed to play for the team for which you are registered on. Any player caught playing for a different team will be disqualified along with the team they were playing for. You are allowed to bring substitute players but they must register with us before they are allowed on the playing surface. We will have a list of volunteer substitute players but we can not guarantee the availability of subs at any given time.

If you or you company is interested in sponsoring the tournament this year we have many ways this can be done. Please email me if you are interested or would like more details.

As always, there is only a limited number of teams we can fit into the mall so please get your entry forms in early to avoid disappointment. The deadline for entries is February 1, 2010. If we fill up or if your entry is received after this time, you will be placed on a waiting list. Thank you and we hope to see you there!

Please note the entry fee is less for early bird entries and will go up for all entries post marked after Dec 31, 2009
